The spacious lobby was inviting, but the heating left us freezing at night.

This place suits me perfectly, providing everything I need like Wi-Fi, luggage storage, and a 24-hour reception. The staff even helped with a late departure during my first stay. Highly recommend for a lovely experience! Coming back next year!

great sea view but terrible check-in experience
A stunning sea view made up for the awful check-in wait.

Family with children best avoided
One of the waitresses at breakfast was friendly and offered us extra toast without us even asking. The room we stayed in was large enough for my family and clean enough, which made things a bit easier since I had a new baby and two dogs with me.
It wasn’t exactly a steal, but it was tolerable, just not worth the cost.

Had a blast exploring the local eats nearby! The Channel Restaurant & Wine Bar truly served up some stellar dishes, and I can't believe I nearly missed out on the delightful bites at Harleywood American Diner. the views from the lounge area gave a lovely slice of seaside sunshine.
The pillows were rock hard, which totally put a dampener on the otherwise comfy beds. Plus, the housekeeping could step it up—my room wasn’t cleaned on the first day, leaving me to feel a bit neglected.

Staying in a sea view room was a highlight, offering stunning views of the pier and bandstand, complemented by an unexpected balcony. The breakfast selection was pleasing, with freshly prepared dishes from local organic products. the reception experience left much to be desired, as staff seemed indifferent, and the cleanliness of the room did not meet expectations, with noticeable wear and a poorly functioning air circulation system. For a place with a rich history, the decline was significant.

Awesome sea view and comfy bed
Had a fab time! The room was big and comfy with a killer sea view from the balcony. The bed? Super cozy! But got a bit annoyed with the dodgy Wi-Fi, had to pay for every device which was kinda lame. The lobby bar was chill and they had nice brekkie options.

great accessibility to key attractions and lovely park views
I had a one-night stay and absolutely loved how close the hotel was to Eastbourne Pier, just a short walk of about 500 meters away, and I also enjoyed strolling through the nearby Towner Art Gallery, which was around a 10-minute walk from my room, making my city explorations so much easier and more enjoyable. the staff were happy and helpful.

Good access to parking with a modest fee and ample spaces available. The lobby and dining areas boast a charming decor that could make for a cozy evening hangout, despite showing some signs of wear.
The small double room felt cramped and dated, with the unmistakable odor of old carpet hitting you at the door. broken ventilation systems and poorly maintained bathroom conditions really detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay. A lack of thorough housekeeping meant we encountered cleanliness issues that shouldn't be present in a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast options seemed limited and could use a refreshing upgrade, particularly with overcooked items and few healthy alternatives. the facilities are in dire need of an update to bring them in line with basic expectations.
